Through the 21st CCLC MPACT Afterschool Program at McClellan High School, Brandon House is working with iHUSTLE students to host the 3nd Annual City Wide Re-Up, a community event that targets high school students residing in Little Rock who will benefit from restocking their school supplies, clothes, community support services, and other helpful resources to support a positive performance for the remaining 2019-2020 academic year. After the Christmas break, a large proportion of high school students return to school in January without adequate school supplies, clothes, or resources to ensure a successful rest of the semester. Along with supplies, students will be able to receive necessary resources or assistance in areas such as academic readiness, college readiness, and workforce and job readiness during the “Linked” Expo.

Following the Linked Expo, students will be engaged in a panel discussion entitled “Targeted” to address topics and share suggestions about how young minority students can respond to negative influences and outcomes that target their community. Invited panelists will represent the following fields: Tobacco Prevention, Behavioral and Mental Wellness, Criminal Justice, and Entertainment & Media. The goal of this panel discussion is to encourage youth at McClellan and J.A. Fair to join Program MPACT 21st CCLC After School Program and be involved in academic, creative content development and unique activities to support further positive social and youth development.
