Signature Events

Brandon House Cultural & Performing Arts Center will host our annual Rock the Block to celebrate the students and programs that participated in Summer Experiences across the city. This event will be held on Sunday, August 20th, from 4p.m. - 7p.m on the grounds of the Brandon House Center at 3802 West 12th Street in the Midtown Community. We are encouraging residents to bring their lawn chairs as we will have the whole area on 12th Street from Pine to Oak blocked from traffic so that our residents can enjoy a day of fun and festivities. This Block Party welcomes youth of all ages to come rack up on school supplies, register for free out-of-school time programming, view youth performances from Creative Expression Majorette Squad, Sound Off Drumline and Pom Squad, Act Out Theater performers, and many more. We will also host special guest performers, Symphony LaRose, LaChaz Holloway, and DeeDee Jones!

This even is sponsored by UAPB Minority Initiative Sub-Recipient Grant Office, City of Little Rock - Department of Community Programs, and Arkansas Out-Of-School Network. Organizations specializing in tobacco prevention, academic success, community resources, and mental health who would like to be a vendor can click the VENDOR FORM on the link and complete the vendor form.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE  2022 "ROCK THE BLOCK" BLOCK PARTY!
